Incident Command Training For Burlington’s Acting Platoon Chiefs
A team from K Lamb Associates in the UK travelled to City of Burlington, Ontario last week to assist in the delivering of dedicated scenario based Incident Command training for their Acting Platoon Chiefs.
Each student was exposed to 4 scenarios tailored to risks within Burlington’s locality enabling procedures, tactical plans and processes to be tested in conjunction with command of the scenarios.
The students were assessed using the Effective Command toolkit, which is endorsed by the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs. The students received dedicated feedback from their scenarios on their command of the incidents enabling personal growth and command competence to be developed.
Great feedback was received by both the internal Incident Command delivery team and the students.
